Let me begin by posting one of my favorite quotes:

So, this is my first blog post. It’s a big deal for me. It has taken quite awhile for me to get here.

But here I am. Living proof that if I can do it, so can you. I subscribe fiercely to the concept that what you focus your attention on will grow. Einstein was right, of course. And over the years, I’ve learned that this means negative thoughts can grow too. The key is making the switch. Stepping over to the positive side. Even if you’re not feeling it. Even if it’s a struggle.

The trick is to trick your body and mind when they’re not cooperating, and when you’re ready for that change. There are multiple ways to get there. To the positive side. My favorite? Express gratitude. 

Start small and build from there. Every day, begin with the simple things we all take for granted. Keep track of these things in a journal. Your body, your legs, your stomach, your head. Recognizing and expressing appreciation for every part of your body is the beginning of change in your life. Start there if you’re not sure where else to start. And even if you start elsewhere, make sure to get that body in there somewhere. It will respect you more and show it, too.

My hope and dream for my site is to provide a launchpad for your own dreams. Again, write down what you want from your body, your life. Spend time there. And do so without judgment. Nobody’s watching, listening or reading. This is your own journey.
